今週の Ray7 Live! “Axis of Faith” 追記

人間界最高の愛と冠される母の愛さえ、時に、過保護になったり、子離れできなくなったり、
色々と問題をひき起こす。

最近毎日のように飛び込んでくるニュースには耳を疑わせられる。

生後５か月の男児をパチンコ店駐車場で車内に放置し死なせる。
生後１０か月の女児を「夜泣きがやまない」と殴り殺す。
昨日は、小6の長男を包丁で刺し殺した母が逮捕された。
一体日本の女性に何が起きている？ 

God is love (1 John 4:8).

Jesus would never allow us to love our children, parents, friends,
or neighbors less.
 
To love God more than our children or parents never means loving them less.

On the contrary, it means loving them more
with the perfect love God gives to us and the love is for them.

Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me;
anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;
and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

Matthew 10:37-38

The word “worthy” is “ἄξιος” (axios), from which the English word “axis” comes.
 
Everything revolves around an “axis” （軸）. It is located in the center of things.
Without it, everything falls apart.

つまり、本物の愛をあなたの“axis”（軸）として据えなさいということ

過保護な父の愛でなく、子供依存の母の愛でなく、試練や孤独（鋳薔薇の道や十字架）、
離別にも耐えうる強い愛を "axis"（軸）にしなさい、と。

他の物を “axis”（軸）にしてはいけない。たとえそれが「（劣化した）愛」であっても。

Masaがクラスで言っていた通り、愛は愛でも「（レベルの）違う愛」
（先週のテーマ “Otherness of Faith” に結びつく）。

そう彼は伝えたかったのではないでしょうか。
どうせ愛するなら “the ultimate love”（至高の愛)で
愛せよ、と。
